Siskiyou offers a wide range of micromanipulators, sample positioners for microscopes, motion control systems and modular optomechanical units for researchers in life sciences and photonics. Siskiyou has developed and currently manufactures approximately 2,500 products for medical research and photonics. Products range from precision micromanipulators to rugged platforms and adapter plates. The manipulator section includes motorized actuators and motion controllers that can position platforms in increments as small as 0.1 micron. A variety of base plates, adjusting screws, clamps, rods and mounting stands increase the versatility of manipulators and platforms. Siskiyou products have a modular design (Modular by Design™) that makes it easy to replace interchangeable parts or to replace and add modular units. The ability to interchangeably combine products provides an unlimited set of functional tools that can be adapted to any requirement.

Understanding that a functioning precision tool must have accurate, legible markings, Siskiyou has combined the practicality of precision scales with an aesthetically pleasing product appearance. Associated with Siskiyou is a company that produces high quality anodizing for the Siskiyou product line. Metal Finishers, Inc. also of Grants Pass, was founded in 1988. Through a close working relationship between the two companies, Siskiyou helped develop and redesign the anodizing process. MFI guarantees a reliable, quality source of finish and laser engraving for Siskiyou products, and ensures that the anodizing process does not delay the delivery of products. Like Siskiyou Corporation, MFI employs experienced employees who insist on the highest standards of quality.

SISKIYOU company history

Siskiyou Corporation began in Grants Pass, Oregon, in 1972 as a two-man store with the concept of creating precision positioning devices for photonics research. The first products produced were a mirror mount, a support stand, a support stand holder, and a mounting base. It was the precision of the firm's instruments that attracted attention, and the company soon received requests for related devices.

Over the years, advances in life science and photonics research led to new applications for Siskiyou instruments, which increased demand for the products. As demand grew, personnel and equipment were added to meet both new development requests and production capacity for all products. By 1992, twenty years after the original conception, Siskiyou had grown and was equipped with the latest CNC machining centers. Now, half a century after its founding, the company continues to adapt to changing market demands through the use of modern technology and highly skilled personnel.
