Optical system for infrared contrast microscopy + Motorized platform + Vertical optical system + Light sources. Any combinations of components.
Use Siskiyou MRK modules to create comprehensive imaging systems for practically any purpose. The MRK100 imaging tower and the IPS200 motorized XY platform supports serve as the framework for customized microscope systems. The IPS200 is a fully motorized XY stage with a handheld controller that has 50mm of travel and 0.2µm resolution. It is simple to adjust the height of the center chamber platform to accommodate different sample thicknesses. The central chamber has a 10.8 cm diameter, which is common for the industry and can accommodate many different components. Siskiyou's 200cr series stages are used in the modular MRK200 system to provide 50mm of X and Y travel. The wide travel range makes attaching stereotaxic holders for in vivo research easier while maximizing access to the chamber and manipulators.
The MRK100 is a camera tower with an upper optical tube, an IR or warm white LED light source, and an IS-GCI condenser lens. The Z-axis focus drive for the upper optics tube has a 50mm motorized travel. The DR1000 digital read-out can be linked to this stage to make it easier to get back to the focal plane.
The objective mount is a two-position "flipper" that can accommodate objectives with high and low magnification. A CBH-1 beamsplitter module with a dichroic beamsplitter tube assembly is located above the objective flipper. A single position dichroic/emission-filter mount is located inside the assembly. For studies involving fluorescence, this mount can be moved into place, and for experiments involving gradient contrast imaging, it can be moved out of the way. A port for almost any light source, including a liquid crystal light guide from a fluorescence source, a LED, a fiber linked light source, or a free-space laser, is located on the other side (right) of the CBH-1 assembly. A port for the excitation filter is present. To accommodate more than one light source or detector, CBH-1 modules can be stacked. A tube lens and C-mount are located above the CBH-1 module(s) to fit your camera. Using Siskiyou MRK modules, you can construct a full system that is simple to change as your experiment develops.
