LDU-01D – Laser Driver Unit

The LDU-01D is a fiber-based illumination source designed for optogenetic applications. It is enabling precise control through TTL pulse signals, with intensity regulation accomplished via potentiometer adjustment.

The LDU-01D represents a fiber-based illumination source designed for optogenetic applications. This device integrates a solid-state laser with npi's proprietary electronic systems, enabling precise control through TTL pulse signals, with intensity regulation accomplished via potentiometer adjustment. Furthermore, the system supports modulation of laser output power through an analog input signal as an alternative control method.

Ordering Information

The LDU-01D is available with different laser modules. Each LDU-01D can house one laser module. A complete system consists of the LDU-01D + LDU-L-XXX (with XXX as wavelength in nm).

  • LDU-01D: Laser Driver Unit: Desktop housing for solid state laser; Control via TTL, analog input or manually (10-turn potentiometer); Solid state laser needs to be ordered separately
  • LDU-L-360: Solid state laser module for LDU-01D; Wavelenght: 360 nm; Power output at fiber end > 70 mW
  • LDU-L-473: Solid state laser module for LDU-01D; Wavelenght: 473 nm; Power output at fiber end > 100 mW
  • LDU-L-589: Solid state laser module for LDU-01D; Wavelenght: 589 nm; Power output at fiber end > 100 mW
