ElectroPORATOR

The ELECTROPORATOR is an analog device designed to transform any input signal into a corresponding output signal, simplifying single cell electroporation.

Advantages of npi's ElectroPORATOR

  • Facilitate transfection of individual cells for GFP expression
  • Target single cells for applications in optogenetics, among others.
  • Introduce macromolecules such as DNA, RNA, dyes, and proteins into cells
  • Stain cells for morphological studies
  • Integrate with DigiStim to create a fully autonomous single cell electroporation system

The ELECTROPORATOR is an analog device designed to transform any input signal into a corresponding output signal. It is available in two models: one that provides a pure voltage output and another that offers both voltage and current outputs. These models are referred to as ELECTROPORATOR -POT and ELECTROPORATOR -CURPOT.

Equipped with a built-in audio monitor, a resistance measurement system, and analog monitor connections for current, voltage, and resistance, the ELECTROPORATOR allows for flexible operation. The electroporation process can be initiated manually, via a foot switch, or through an external trigger signal. The electroporation protocol is determined by the external analog input signal. To facilitate this, we provide a combination with the DigiStim, a compact USB-programmable signal generator. The protocol can be saved on this device, and the DigiStim is activated by the ELECTROPORATOR once the user initiates the electroporation process. Additionally, any A/D converter or signal generator commonly utilized in electrophysiology can be employed.
