XenoWorks Micromanipulator by Sutter is extremely stable and resistant to ambient vibration. It can be used in conjunction with the PrimeTech PMM-150FU Piezo Impact Drive for applications such as nuclear transfer and intracytoplasmic sperm injection.
A smooth-moving, configurable inverted joystick has been added to Sutter's highly popular MP-285 electrophysiological micromanipulator to create the XenoWorks® Micromanipulator. The electrophysiological design of the motor drive makes the XenoWorks Micromanipulator incredibly stable and vibration-resistant. Due to its reliability, this manipulator is a great choice for applications like mouse nuclear transfer and intracytoplasmic sperm injection when used with the PrimeTech PMM-150FU Piezo Impact Drive.
An exceptional level of user satisfaction is available when using the joystick. The operator can rest their wrists and forearms on the bench top while using an inverted joystick that has an essentially zero-profile base, making it easier to use and more ergonomic. By eliminating the need to look away from the microscope to find and use the function keys, time can be saved. The "Setup" function is another useful time-saving tool. Prior to working, the micromanipulator is in the ideal position after activating the setup function (halfway on the Y-axis, three-quarters down on the Z-axis and three-quarters inwards on the X-axis). The time it takes to locate the pipette tip through the microscope is reduced after the manipulator is in the default setup position and the micropipette tip is already projecting into the optical path. Prior to beginning work, the setup function makes sure that all axes of motion have an acceptable travel range.
The manipulator employs a pre-programmed "Home" position for quick micropipette exchange, and it can also establish a "Work" position so that the pipette can be moved with the push of a button. A Z-limit memory position is employed to prevent the pipette from striking the dish's bottom, and a Y-axis lockout feature permits X-only axial movement for better control during injections.
The XenoWorks joystick is made so that the user may quickly acquire an intuitive understanding that makes it simple to precisely control placement. A proportionate displacement of the manipulator is produced by movement of the joystick. You have immediate access to speed control, center of travel, and programmable locations. The joystick's declutch mechanism, which enables quick joystick movement without shifting the pipette, is one of its special features. The Sutter MP-285 manipulator technology and this cutting-edge joystick work together to offer the best solution for rigorous microinjection.
