pH-Optica for Minisensors

pH-Optica Fiber Optic pH Meter, Use with Minisensors

The WPI's pH-Optica mini fiber-optic pH meter allows non-invasive pH measurements through the transparent bulb walls in the range of 5-9.

Referenced measurements with single excitation.

Key Features

  • pH readings using a single-channel, portable, fiber-optic meter with small sensors
  • Two 12-bit, electrically isolated analog outputs with programmability
  • A single electrically isolated external trigger input
  • For functioning, a computer with an RS232 port is needed
  • Utilize with minisensors, foils, and spots.
  • pH measures that are non-intrusive and non-distortive
  • The system does not contain the sensors

Benefits

  • Software that is simple to use saves and displays measured values
  • One computer can link to several pHOptica meters
  • A temperature sensor is used to track temperature changes
  • There is no requirement for a reference electrode

Applications for pHOptica Mini System

The pHOptica mini system is a one-channel pH system that may be used with foil and spot surface sensors, as well as fiber optic mini sensors, for applications such as:

  • Non-intrusive and non-distractive pH measurements via the walls of the flask (cell culture)
  • Monitoring the pH online using flow-through cells
  • Measuring pH with a dipping probe
