Referenced measurements with single excitation.
Key Features
- pH readings using a single-channel, portable, fiber-optic meter with small sensors
- Two 12-bit, electrically isolated analog outputs with programmability
- A single electrically isolated external trigger input
- For functioning, a computer with an RS232 port is needed.
- Employ using microsensors
- The PH-Optica-Micro has a pH range of 5.5 to 8.5
- 3 sensors in a package, 2000 measurements per sensor
- The system does not contain the sensors.
Benefits
- Measured values are saved and displayed via user-friendly software
- One computer can link to several pHOptica meters
- A temperature sensor is used to track temperature changes
- There is no requirement for a reference electrode
Applications
Designed to work with fiber optic microsensors, the pHOptica micro system has a single channel pH sensor. Among the applications are:
- Entering live tissue through insertion or penetration (heart, muscle or animal blood vessels)
- Placement in the ground to measure pH
- Insertion in custom-made housing
TIP: To prevent damage of the tiny glass fiber tip, the manufacturer creates appropriate housings and tubings around it. Your application will influence the design you select.
An 18 ga. stainless steel needle with a needle-type housing sensor (502123) protects the fiber inside. When measuring, the fiber must be expanded. The septum is broken through by it.
The implanted sensor (502124) has no housing and can be inserted into soil or blood circuits of animals. With this adaptable sensor design, you may create your own housings to fit your needs.
