Mini DipTip?„? - Smallest Fiber Optic Dipping Probe

The smallest fiber-optic immersion probe Mini DipTip?„? with three optical pathway sizes (2, 5, 10 mm) provides mobile measurements of protein and DNA samples with a spectrophotometer.

Easy measurements of small volumes are made possible by the Mini DipTip™ microliter sample probe.

The outside diameter of a Mini DipTip™ is only 1.5 mm, or the same size as a 17-gauge needle. It is a handy instrument for measuring protein and DNA samples and will fit into all micro centrifuge tubes available on the market. A dissolving mechanism can also be employed with the little dipping probe.

The Mini DipTip can be used with one of the following to evaluate microliter samples affordably:

  • The Fiber optic-based spectrometer (Tidas-E Base Series Photo Diode Array Spectrometer) and a light source (D2H and FO-6000)
  • A spectrophotometer (Tidas S300 Series e.g. pn 505067)

Multi-channel applications work best with the Mini DipTip.

  • Compatibility with fiber optic spectrometers, light sources, and spectrophotomers (SMA 905)
  • Available light pathlengths are 2, 5, and 10 mm.

Using a Tidas 100 spectrophotometer, DNA samples (with a sample volume of 50 µL within small centrifuge PCR vials) were analyzed in PBS with concentrations ranging from 0 to 43 g/mL.

A tiny transmission probe for microliter spectroscopic sample is called a Mini DipTip™. The tip diameter of the Mini DipTip is only 1.5 mm, about the size of a 17-gauge needle. All commercially available micro centrifuge tubes will accept it. When you use the Tiny DipTip™ along with one of the following, you may analyze microliter samples without incurring large expenses:

  • TIDAS E Base with FO-6000 or D4H
  • LEDSpec
  • TIDAS S300 series
  • Suitable with the majority of fiber-coupled spectrometers
  • The best for multi-channel applications with LEDSpec

*The fiber bundle is packaged in a circular fashion to produce an active area that is comparable to a fiber with a core diameter of 680 µm. It is advised to use a 600 µm connection because there would be very little light loss.
