MicroImplant - Implantable Oxygen Microsensor

The implantable WPI's MicroImplant oxygen microsensor has a tiny probe tip of 50 ??m, an open fiber length of 5 mm and a sheath diameter of 900 ??m.

An implanted probe (IMP), the MicroImplant fiber optic oxygen sensor has a jacket diameter of 900 µm, an exposed fiber length of 5 mm, and a probe tip size of 50 µm. Crabs, fish, and soil were all successfully implanted with the IMP sensor.

OPTIONS

  • This sensor, 501658-C, is coated for otical isolation. The optical isolation is an optional, opaque, oxygen-permeable coating that can be applied over the luminophore to stop ambient light from entering the sensor and excitation light from departing. Due to the additional layer of material that oxygen must pass through in order to reach the luminophore, this coating extends the response time.
  • The sensor 501658-F has a 140 μm flat tip.

Key features

  • Implantable oxygen microsensor
  • 2.5m cable
  • 0-250% Air saturation
