MicroFlow - Flow-through Housed Oxygen Microsensor

The WPI's MicroFlow flow case oxygen sensor is optimized for fast response times (t90 < 1 sec in gases, < 5 sec in liquids).

A miniature fiber optic chemical sensor designed for quick response times (t90 < 1 sec in gases, < 5 sec in liquids), the MicroFlow fiber optic oxygen sensor measures the oxygen content of a substance. The tiny probe is built into a T-shape flow cell and has a tip size of 50 µm for simple connection to external tubings using Luer-Lock adapters. Water, blood, and other liquids can be pumped through the cell.

OPTIONS

  • This sensor, 501657-C, has an optical isolation coating. The optical isolation is an optional, opaque, oxygen-permeable coating that can be applied over the luminophore to stop ambient light from entering the sensor and excitation light from departing. Due to the additional layer of material that oxygen must pass through in order to reach the luminophore, this coating extends the response time.
