The WPI Kwik-Tip ion-selective electrodes allow the determination of calcium, hydrogen, potassium and TPP ion concentrations with a conventional pH meter.
Kwik-Tip electrodes for precise calcium, hydrogen, potassium, and TPP tests.
These extremely stable electrodes accurately monitor the activity of the TPP (tetraphenylphosphonium), hydrogen, potassium, and calcium ions. Tips are made of 2 mm diameter plastic tubes that are ion-sensitive membrane-sealed at one end. You can insert the tube into the holder and connect it to a pH meter after filling with electrolyte solution. Because tips and holders may be swapped, one tip that is sensitive to one ion can be replaced with another. A new tip may be installed in about a minute. When properly kept in a saline solution, electrode tips typically remain usable for several months. Only the tip needs to be replaced when replacement is required.
Kwik-Tip electrodes are sold separately as well as in kits. Three detachable tips and a reusable holder are included in each "KWIK" electrode holder kit. The "TIP" Electrode Kits include with a 4-foot BNC cable, an electrolyte filling syringe, and three electrode tips for different ions. It is also necessary to use a different reference electrode, like the Dri-Ref™ from WPI.
Moreover, you need Part 3508 (BNC-to-US pH Standard adapter) if your pH meter needs a US Standard connector.
