VA-10M – Voltammetry/Amperometry (Module)

Npi's VA-10M is a highly sensitive current amplifier (picoampere range) intended for voltammetric and amperometric measurements utilizing carbon-fiber microelectrodes.

Voltammeter-Amperometer Module

Npi's VA-10M is a highly sensitive current amplifier (picoampere range) intended for voltammetric and amperometric measurements utilizing carbon-fiber microelectrodes.

Features:

  • Low noise operation, functioning within the picoampere range
  • Optimally designed for recordings from individual cells
  • Can be utilized with external waveforms for cyclic voltammetry
  • Telegraph outputs provided for straightforward interfacing with data acquisition systems
  • 3-electrode headstage available for a floating command potential
  • Gain settings adjustable from 0.5 to 25 mV / pA in six increments
  • Accurate built-in voltage source for DC amperometry (+/- 1000 mV standard, +/- 2000 mV optional)

Applications:

  • Enables concurrent electrophysiological recordings during voltammetric or amperometric studies using headstages with differential inputs
  • Applicable in scanning electrochemical microscopy
  • Also appropriate for lipid bilayer recordings

 Compatible with 5 µm carbon fiber electrodes, which are also available from npi.

VOLTAGE SOURCE: COMMAND VOLTAGE set by 10-turn potentiometer, range: (1000 mV, polarity selectable with polarity switch (+, 0, -), display XXXX mV

  • FILTERED: BNC connector, sensitivity selectable with GAIN switch, FILTERED with LP Bessel FILTER
  • UNFILTERED: BNC connector, sensitivity selectable with GAIN switch
