The Tendon Reflex Hammer provides trigger, time or indicator signals. Connects to PowerLab systems via a BNC connector or an 8-pin DIN connector.
Tendon Hammers are available to link to any PowerLab recording system's BNC input channel or 8-pin Din (Pod) input channel to deliver triggering, timer, or marker signals.
When an object is hit with the hammer, a piezoelectric sensor inside the head emits a brief pulse.
Muscle spindles can be stimulated by the hammer, causing muscles to contract. Suitable for use in tendon jerk investigations with the goniometer (joint angle sensor).
