TC-10/20 – Temperature Controller

Npi's TC-10/20 is a single/dual channel temperature controller for heating only in electrophysiological experiments.

Advantages of the TC-10/20

  • Temperature regulation in delicate electrophysiological recordings
  • No switching artifacts due to analog control
  • No electrical interference from linear power supply
  • Compatible with a wide range of devices – adjustable feedback speed

Single/Dual Channel Temperature Controller for Heating Only

The TC-10 and TC-20 temperature control systems are specifically designed for heating applications in electrophysiological experiments. The TC-10 features one temperature control channel along with an additional thermometer, while the TC-20 offers two independent temperature control channels. Both systems are housed in standard 19" cabinets, equipped with built-in power supply and cooling components for the power devices. The TC-10/20 system ensures low noise operation and includes special protective features to safeguard the preparation from damage.

Each system includes two electronic thermometers for small temperature sensors (the standard is R2252, meaning the sensor has a resistance of 2252 Ω at 25 °C, or optional PT100, which has a resistance of 100 Ω at 0 °C), two digital temperature displays (XX.X °C), a set-point control with direct readout (XX.X °C), a PI (proportional-integral) controller with adjustable parameters, an output power control unit, and a high-power output stage (DC, continuous operation) for resistive (i.e., heat only) loads with electronic protection circuits. The power outputs are protected against short circuits, and the output power is electronically limited. The maximum output voltage is approximately 12 V, with a current limit of 2 A.

The system can be connected to the thermistors/heating elements in two ways:

  • Using separate cables for the sensors and the heating element, or
  • Using the ALA DIN cable assembly that connects both sensors and heating elements, for example, ALA HPC-G.

The TC-20 controller is supplied with a power cord and a user manual. Sensors must be acquired separately.

Features:

  • Low-noise temperature regulators
  • exclusively for heating
  • Available in single-channel and dual-channel configurations
  • 19-inch rackmount enclosure
  • DIN connector compatible with ALA scientific heating equipment
