ISO-STIM-II – Stimulus Isolator

Npi's ISO-STIM-II isolated stimulator is specifically engineered for the application of extracellular stimuli, such as in brain slices or in-vivo settings. It can be powered by either AC power supply or batteries.

The modular design of the ISO-STIM-II enables you to

  • Select your preferred voltage range and power source
  • Select from a variety of control and timing options
  • Select between voltage output, current output, or both
  • Exceptional low noise performance with AC mains power supply, eliminating the need for batteries!

Stimulus Isolator for Electrophysiology

The ISO-STIM-II isolated stimulator unit is specifically engineered for the application of extracellular stimuli, such as in brain slices or in-vivo settings. Unlike other stimulus isolators, the ISO-STIM-II can be powered by either AC power supply or batteries, depending on your choice.

The output signal is optically isolated from ground and can be configured to provide a constant voltage of up to ±100 V or a constant current of up to ±10 mA (additional ranges available: ±20 V, ±40 V). This device comes equipped with a built-in timing unit that allows for adjustable pulse length, amplitude, and polarity, and it also supports external control, for instance, from a data acquisition system.

The ISO-STIM-II features a bipolar stimulus with an adjustable delay between the positive and negative components of the pulse (0-500 µs). The initial stimulus is succeeded by a pulse that matches the amplitude and duration of the first pulse but has reverse polarity. The interval between the two pulses can be adjusted using the InterPhaseGap (IPG) control.

The ISO-STIM is also offered as a module for the EPMS-07 system.

Supply Power And Output Options
