With little training required, the Port-a-Patch mini provides quick and simple access to high-quality patch clamp data. The Port-a-Patch mini is simple to use. After adding solutions and cells to the disposable recording chip, a computer-controlled pump automatically captures and suction-seals the cell. With a laboratory pipette, exchanging solutions is a simple process that guarantees little chemical usage. In addition to being a teaching tool, the Port-a-Patch mini can be used as a substitute for a traditional patch clamp. With little training, it provides access to high-quality patch clamp data.

The Port-a-Patch mini recording unit, the Tecella amplifier, the Suction Control unit, and the optional laptop make up the Port-a-Patch mini system.
