The MultiClamp 700B patch-clamp amplifier is used for a wide range of applications in patch-clamp research as well as for extracellular and intracellular registration.
An amplifier with computer control for current- and voltage-clamp applications
Molecular Devices' MultiClampTM 700B Microelectrode Amplifier is a computer-controlled microelectrode current- and voltage-clamp amplifier dedicated to electrophysiology and electrochemistry applications. This adaptable amplifier can be used for bilayer recordings, high-speed current-clamp (sharp electrode or field potentials), ion-selective electrode recording, single-channel and whole-cell voltage patch-clamp, and amperometry/voltammetry. Up to two primary CV-7B headstages and two auxiliary (HS-2 or VG-2 type) headstages can be supported by the MultiClamp 700B amplifier. Each CV-7B headstage is equipped with a voltage-clamp current-to-voltage converter and a genuine current-clamp voltage follower. This makes it easier for the user to switch between high-speed current-clamp recording and low-noise patch-clamp recording. For bilayer recording, a CV-7B/BL headstage is a possible option.
