Extended Life Light Source Lambda XL

A light source with a 1% peak-to-peak fluctuation, the Lambda XL has a broad spectrum and is extremely stable. A liquid light guide connects to the microscope and ensures uniform output across the field of vision. There are two light guiding options, one designed for the visible-near IR range and the other for the near UV-visible zone.

The light guide's output is comparable to that of our well-known 300W Lambda LS xenon arc light source. The lamp module should survive more than 10,000 hours and keep at least half of its initial brightness.

The lamp housing, power supply, optics, and bulb are all housed in one small, standalone cabinet. It is a flexible option for fluorescence imaging applications because of the design's inclusion of a filter wheel and SmartShutter® driver. The Lambda XL's body can hold the Sutter filter wheel with SmartShutter or the standalone SmartShutter. The extreme power of the Lambda XL is not advised for use with filters that have an absorbent layer because they could be harmed.

Several attenuation levels can be achieved by adjusting the light intensity. Every time the filter is invoked, a programmable attenuation level can be assigned to each filter location when the optional filter wheel is employed*.

There are mounting adapters available for microscopes made by Nikon, Olympus, Zeiss, and Leica.
