HVA-100 – High Voltage Amplifier

Npi's HVA-100 is a high voltage amplifier with output range of 0-100 V engineered to drive piezo or bimorph actuators, as well as other high-capacity loads.

Features:

  • Engineered to drive piezo or bimorph actuators, as well as other high-capacity loads.
  • Output range of 0-100 V with a maximum current of 40 mA.
  • Output is connected via a high voltage 8-pole DIN connector and a shielded cable.
  • Output voltage can be controlled through either the INPUT BNC or the ten-turn OFFSET control.
  • The input gain stage can be set to either x10 (for a 0-10 V input range) or x20 (for a 0-5 V input range), facilitating compatibility with A/D or TTL systems.

Internally, two signals are combined, allowing for a preset offset from the OFFSET control that establishes a “zero” position for the actuator. The voltage applied to the IN BNC results in movement relative to this “zero” position. If the OFFSET is unnecessary, it should be adjusted to zero.

IMPORTANT: The EPMS-H-07 housing is essential for the operation of this module!
