You enjoy the sensitivity that chemi adds to Western blot imaging, but you detest the fuss that comes with utilizing film to capture it.   • High quantum efficiency cooled CCD cameras are extremely sensitive to the low level light emissions from blots. Because of the peltier cooled camera's excellent "signal to noise" performance, background noise is essentially unnoticeable. Working with chemiluminescence samples and reagents is made easier by the close "camera to sample" distance. The dynamic range of the GeneGnome XRQ is more than twice as large as that of film. This makes exceedingly precise quantification possible
