Carbon Microelectrodes

Carbon Fiber and Carbon Disk Microelectrodes

With WPI carbon microelectrodes it is possible to detect various oxidizable substances in solutions. They can also be used to record extracellular electrical activity.

Oxidizable compounds in solutions are determined using WPI carbon microelectrodes. The recorded current from these electrodes depends linearly on the concentration of the chemical being measured, such as catecholamines, indolamines, NO, hormones, oxygen,...

These microelectrodes can also be used to record electrical activity outside of cells.
