Vibrotome Campden 5100mz

The new 5100mz and the high-end 7000smz-2 have the same user interface, giving the user access to a variety of configurable parameters:

• Frequency of vibration: 50 to 80 Hz
• Adjustable amplitude between 0.5 and 1.5 millimeters
• Controlling the blade advance precisely (at least 0.1 mm/sec)
• Set the blade's start and stop positions
• Control box on the umbilical cord is excellent for use in a solitary setting

Employ the "Slice window" option, which automatically remembers the start and finish positions of the slice, or the fully manual method. With a fixed blade holder and a mechanism Z axis error of  ≈ 5-8µm, this new entry-level microtome is ideal for techniques including histology, organotypic slice culture, and low resolution imaging.
