Axon Digidata 1550B Low-Noise Data Acquisition System plus HumSilencer

The Digidata 1550B with Noise Reduction analyzes the signal and removes line noise (50/60 Hz) and other high frequency interference from the signal. The noise reduction function does not use filtering and does not distort the recorded biological signals.

High-resolution, low-noise digitizer with 50/60 Hz line-frequency noise elimination.

The Digitizer that Makes It Possible to Acquire Patch-clamp Data

One of the most sophisticated analog-to-digital signal converters available today, the Axon™ Digidata® 1550B plus HumSilencer® offers the ground-breaking line synchronous noise-cancelling capability. This sophisticated capability recognizes, adjusts for, and removes high-frequency harmonics and local 50/60 Hz line-frequency noise from incoming signals. The pCLAMP™ 11 Software is used by the digitizer to collect and analyze data. Eight analog acquisition channels and four acquisition modes are supported by the program.

Eliminate Line-frequency Noise

Using up to four channels simultaneously, the HumSilencer eliminates 50/60 hz line-frequency noise. Using a software checkbox, the capability is quickly enabled.

Record High Resolution Traces

At a staggering sampling rate of 500 kHz per channel, it is possible to simultaneously digitize all eight analog input channels.

Digitize Cellular Network Studies

With the Digidata 1550B system, you also can record cellular networks in one digitizer without experiencing 50/60 Hz line-frequency noise, saving money, time, and effort.

Features

50/60 hz Noise Cancellation

A sophisticated function called HumSilencer can remove high-frequency harmonics and local 50/60 Hz line-frequency noise patterns from incoming signals up to 20 V peak-to-peak.

Noise Canceling

The captured signals are unaffected by HumSilencer because it is not a filter. The signal is not distorted in any way, including in terms of frequency, amplitude, phase, or DC voltage.

Wide Range of Input Signals

From -10 to +10 V, the Digidata 1550B digitizes a broad variety of input signals.

HumSilencer Adaptation

In less than one second, HumSilencer reacts to fluctuations in noise amplitudes by filtering out the noise.

Optimized for pCLAMP 11 Software

The most popular program for patch-clamp electrophysiological data acquisition and analysis is called the pCLAMP Software package. It is used to control and record voltage-clamp, current-clamp, and patch-clamp investigations.

Three Configurations

Digidata 1550B4 with four HumSilencer channels, Digidata 1550B1 with one HumSilencer channel, and Digidata 1550B0 without a HumSilencer channel are the three configurations that are offered.
